MG Motor's first Indian car will be launched from the Halol plant in Gujarat in the second quarter of next year. Considering that the company promises 80% localization of the models, the upcoming SUV cars will be larger than Hyundai Creta, and its price point is expected to be competitive.
The company has adopted a top-down approach for India, starting with higher-priced models and then launching lower-priced models later. The Internet and artificial intelligence can play a key role in helping car manufacturers differentiate their products from other products.
"As cars change through the Internet, artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing, MG can take advantage of this change and use it as its key differentiator to make it stand out from the crowd," Yang added.
MG Motor India is finalizing the status of about 45 dealer partners and will begin sales next year. The first phase will have about 100 touchpoints across India. By the end of 2019, the automaker will employ nearly 1,500 employees, compared with 300 currently.

Latest electric cars in India We will also launch various branding programs to get closer to us Potential customers, "said Rajeev Chaba, president and managing director of MG Automotive India.
