MG Motor India to launch first vehicle in Q2 of 2019

As part of the "Made in India" initiative, automaker MG (Morris Garages) Motor India will launch its first car in the second quarter of 2019.

SAIC's wholly-owned subsidiary said on Monday that it has also begun negotiations with multiple suppliers to achieve a higher level of localization.

"With the rapid development of the upgrade of its Halol plant (including the construction of new stamping workshops and the modification of assembly lines and other facilities), latest electric cars in  India has also initiated negotiations with multiple suppliers to achieve a high level of localization. Said in a statement.

The company said that under the vigorous research and development efforts of its parent company, SAIC, the company is also actively considering the provision of new energy vehicles and eagerly hopes to cooperate with all stakeholders to achieve the commercial implementation of the technology.
