MG Hector's bookings cross 50,000 units in 8 months
MG Motor India said that within eight months of its launch, its SUV Hector has booked more than 50,000 vehicles. Since entering the Indian auto market last year, MG Auto has sold nearly 20,000 Hector.
Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer of MG Motor India, said: "Hector received orders for more than 50,000 vehicles within eight months of its launch in the Indian market and continues to maintain strong growth momentum."
The British automaker added that the company also plans to launch a six-seater version of its Upcoming SUV cars later in 2020.
Gupta said: "We plan to launch the Hector Plus 6-seat home version in the third quarter of 2020 (third quarter of 2020). Our goal is to further strengthen the Hector brand in India."
The company will also launch Diwali's MG Gloster this year.
Gupta further added that the company continues to accelerate its development momentum by opening new brand outlets near potential customers near Tier-I and Tier-II cities.
MG Motor has expanded its business scope to more than 200 centres nationwide and plans to expand it to 250 centres by the end of March.
