Coronavirus: MG Motors Throw Open Affordable Ventilator Challenge
Automobile manufacturers are leading the way in coming up with innovative solutions to fight the coronavirus epidemic. Recently, MG Motor India announced the assistance of Motor 2 crore to fight disease near its facilities in Gujarat and Gurugram. Now the company has started a unique challenge which will help in making ventilators in quick time which are also affordable. The Affordable Ventilator Challenge is a part of the company's developer program and the grant will help patients who are infected with the deadly coronavirus.
Once the prototypes are ready they will be evaluated by a team of medical experts for their efficiency. MG Motor India will provide the 1 million best ventilator design concept. In addition, the carmaker will also provide production support for the proposed ventilator prototype at its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat. Keeping in mind the critical requirement for the rapid deployment of affordable ventilators, the last date for submission of applications is April 15, 2020.
