MG Motor hits Indian sweet spot with first electric SUV
In India, electric car interest is soaring, with MG Motors receiving orders for nearly 3,000 ZSs, all-latest electric car, in less than a month. Essentially, electric cars were sold out before they were placed on the market, so the company temporarily stopped booking.
To date, the statistics have reached more than 2,800 vehicles in 27 days, enabling MG Motor India to meet the 2,409 bookings received from the markets where the SUV MG ZS was initially placed on the market. These markets are Delhi / NCR, Mumbai, and Ahmed Tabad, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
It looks like the company has reached the best time to own an electric MG vehicle in India, on the one hand, it leverages government subsidies for electric vehicles and infrastructure, and on the other, it offers "sustainable luxury" at attractive prices.
40% of bookings are made online, which indicates that consumer behaviour has changed again in the world's largest electric vehicle market. India has this title (the United States after China) and prefers electric rickshaws and tricycles.
