MG Hector secures 50,000 bookings within 8 months of its launch

MG Hector features a whole host of connectivity-based technologies and around 20,000 units have been sold since its market debut.

MG Motor made its domestic debut in late June 2019 with Hector. The C-segment SUV has been an instant hit for the British manufacturer for several reasons. The interior, complemented by a wide range of in-car connectivity features and trims, has been well received among customers and bookings exceed the 50,000 marks. The company issued a statement today acknowledging this achievement and approximately 20,000 units were retained in the last eight-month period. Supported as India's first Internet car, the Hector is available in four variants - Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp - across eleven trims. It can be had in regular petrol, petrol light-hybrid, and diesel engine options. Since launch, the five-seater has managed to improve the sales volume of the Jeep Compass, while some mid-size SUVs did not hold as much stability as the Hector. Baojun 530 based Hector is priced between Rs. 12.74 lakhs and Rs. 17.44 lakh (ex-showroom), and thus appeal to potential buyers in mid-size and C-SUV spaces.
